Default After a new lid,

Hi all,

okay so i was saving up for the new Shoei xr-1100 (£400) as recently i scrapped my old lid,

im currently borrowing a lid till i have enough for another.

i have now decided im not going to spend £400 on a lid even if it does have this new visor system thingy.

id like something £200 or less thats quiet and comfy, and looks the nuts
id also like something i can put a rediculasly dark/iridium visor on.

so i was wondering what you guys would suggest with maybe links etc

thanks in advance

Perry

I bought one of these recently Ive also got a gold iridium lens for it too

I went for the plain black but now see they are doing some good deals on them now.
They are well vented and pretty quiet too.

My 5 pence worth

Nooooo I meant try it on the bike. See how noisey/windy it is etc. It differs a lot from head to head even with the same lid

I was looking at that Shoei as a possible next lid.

Schuberth are said to have some of the quietest lids. But again, it's £300+.

They do have the R1 series which should be fairly quiet (they're all wind tunnel designed, apparently) for about £200 (depending on paint job)- designed for sporty riding, so probably best if you have your head down a lot.

I'd like an S1 Pro, but at £420 for last years designs, It's a lot to pay- I'd have to consider adding it to the bike insurance!

It really is going to be personal choice.

Some people have a shoei size head others dont. Go in and try them on to find which make is the one suited for your head shape.

Then find out the reviews and peoples opinions on the different one within that brand.
