Default Fixing My Bike, I wish Hovis could see!

As alot of you know I came off my bike on the way home from the Porlock Camping weekend. I was already booked up for the Welsh TT and looking forward to it, but with my bike in pieces I decided I'd give it a miss this time to which I regret immensely.

Hovis kept PMing me asking how it was going, would it be fixed in time, would I be able to go ect. I didn't go, and I wish I did . It sadens me to think I won't see him again, ride with him again or share a drink with him.

But, (even though it's a gsxr) I think he'd be happy to know it's almost fixed and ready to ride. Theres a few parts still to come but i'm hoping to pay my respects at his funeral on the bike, and I pray i'm not away on holiday on the day.

Even though I don't know him aswell as some of you, spending the weekend in Porlock with him made me realise what a caring, fun loving, nutter he was. I hope he won't mind me saying he became a friend that weekend.

Since my accident I've considered giving up biking for the near future. It made me realise i'm not immortal, and if there was a car coming in the other direction when I came off, it might have been a different story. Finding out that Hovis had sadly passed away has made me think even more about it. But I keep hearing the wee man calling me a pussy and telling me to get on with it , so when the bikes fixed i'm atleast going to give it another go.

So Hovis where ever you are up there I hope you'll be pleased to know i'm not giving up and i'm going to be attending the AR for the first time because of you.

Cheers mate you won't be forgotten!

And finally the only picture I got of the bugger all weekend. Drinking and texting, he was doing both all weekend! But mostly drinking

Rich

Very nice. Is that how you're gonna keep it, or are you still waiting for lowers?
