OK, all ....
It seems that my SVS is turning in to a SV-ST (sports-tourer) ![]() After years as a 'car man' .... taking to 2 wheels has been great - in fact many don't believe that I now have NO car !! ![]() I think the previous owner would be screwing if he saw the scottoiler, heated grips, and soon to be fitted topbox ![]() Anyway - sorry for the rambling .... but I need help deciding what size top box to fit on the back of my Givi rack .... want it be big enough to be useful ... but not too big to stop me filtering through London !! Any help, and particually pics appreciated !! |

mine's a 34l givi and it for me is the perfect size not fitted it on the pointy yet as i still need a rack but on the curvy it was great big enough to put a spare pair of trouser's a lunchbox a drink bottle and a few other bit's walkman and stuff.

Well I have a 45 litre topbox - it takes two full face helmets very comfortably. Its no wider than the mirrors, so when filtering as long as the mirrors get through, the topbox follows. I have the E45 one, its not the best looking one but it does the job and was cheaper than some of the skeeler models.
I commute in london every day in rush hour with this setup! pic: ![]() I have found my topbox to be a very very usefull addition. Screw the rest who think it dosnt look good!!! |

Thanks.... I have been looking and a 34L would seem ideal .... but it seems they make a 30L and a 45L at the mo .. and nothing in between ??
I had a 27L on my old 125, and that wasn't quite big enough ........ and I have soft Oxford Panniers for those longer trips .... |

I depends how much you are looking to carry; I use mine to carry my work and laptop, and also clothes when I go away. I can get a weeks worth of clothes in there, but if I go somewhere with maria for a week, then we need a tankbag aswell
If you just want a place to stash a helmet safely when not on the bike, a smaller box might suffice |

Its not even helmet really .........
Its mostly bike cover, bag, and occasion loaf of bread, etc ... Really want a mid-range one I think .... 34L - 37L ........ annoying can't find that mid-range ... Worth swerving Givi ?? Last edited by LK-SV; 08-10-09 at 09:37 AM. |

I am thinking the same thing.
My stuff got soaked last night coming home in my tank bag. I need to put a laptop, clothes, food in so I guess a 45L would be right for me? |

I've got a Kappa 48Ltr and it's huge.
Big enough for 2 helmets or lots of shopping if necessary.
