Default Which bike are you gonna get next?

I've decided that the R1 will be my last sports bike. It is an awesome piece of kit and I like it a lot....however, sense has to prevail at some point.....doesn't it..? Anyhow, the plan is R1 for 3 years then on to the next bike. For me it's gonna be this:

What's your next bike?

I really do fancy one of these 3 bikes.

Pointy SV
VFR750
ZX6R

Out of the 3, the ZX I would probably more enjoy, however the Viffer, would satisfy my need for a european tour. Pointy SV, because I seem to click with SV's but haven't tried a pointy. My guess is, they're over-rated.

the old Xtra Raptor obviously my first choice.
Yesterday I was dangled the keys of the big bus, yeah like little old me could handle all the power and speed of the Starship enterprise and stop it falling over as its so big!
Might consider riding it if it were in black...mmmmmmm

gotta be a viffer or a sprint st for me in a coupla years. should have a few miles experience under me belt so will feel a tad more confident taking the missus round UK then onto europe. even my mum goes touring ffs so will be nice to 'go places'.

I'm not sure yet. I've had the Speed Triple for a few years now and have a Dullville as a motorway bike. I'll keep the Dullville over the winter and then get rid of it, as it's too noisy on the motorway (even with the touring screen). I'll be looking for something as a long distance tourer / commuter, but have no idea what.

I'm currently mulling over the BMW F800ST, Triumph Tiger, Triumph Sprint ST and the V-Strom (either 650 or thou). I'm looking for a mix of practicality and fun. Top speed isn't important but acceleration is.

If I was just buying a commuter bike, then the new Buell City-X is getting good reviews, and looks the mutts nuts. But it's going to be just as useless as the Speed Triple for long distance riding with luggage.

The F800ST is probably top of the list at the moment, as it's reasonably light and pokey, but not so beautiful that panniers and top box would ruin its looks.

Couple I'm thinking off, seeing as I'm not commuting so much I may get rid of the big red bus and get something else, always had a hankering after a ZXR750 but I'm also really tempted by a MK1 fireblade or a GSXR750.

I'd like a 675 but then my wife would want one and we can't afford two.

I would have to say that I like the 675, or Street Triple. Never be able to afford either, but I can dream I suppose
