Default Microsoft Excel - Transfer or copy to new PC?

tried open office but I really need MS Excel. I have it installed full version on one PC. But I need it on another, new replacement PC. I dont have the CD for the install and loath to purchase something I already have. can it be done?

Er yeah I have done it. Just grap the Microsoft Office folder and drag it onto a USB stick. Then dump it on another computer. I have done this a couple of times and it seemed to work.

Surely if you just right click Excel in your Programs drop box you can click send to, and then E-drive and copy it to disc??

Maybe that sounds too easy and a message will come up

Thanks, I just did this. Installed the folder on the new PC and its not opening. Hmmm me thinks I need to look into it a bit more. Cheers anyway.

Open Office is free and downloadable...

Only just saw you have tried OO - as Dave asks below - what was the problem you had with it?

Out of interest why did you not like Open office sv-net? It's supposedly fully compatible with MS orrifice
