OOps---did you make contact? if not you will have the devils own chance of recovering your damage costs as I am in the process at the moment of similar circumstances
My front just folded due to braking so hard as not to make contact

Many years ago a biker claimed off my car insurance cos he did a similar thing. I was waiting patiently at a turn right lane at lights as he was filtering and for some reason he thought my indicating meant i was about to u turn in front of him!
Anyway he panicked and fell off and i was the one who helped him get his bike up in the pouring rain, gave him my card as a witness....not to claim off!

Anyway my insurance paid out against my protestations, their point being that a collision doesnt have to occur in order for one person to claim off another

So you should have a good chance to a degree i guess guys.

Always sorry to read about an off, but at least you were unscathed thankfully.

However, if you were only doing 15mph, I'm surprised you dropped it. I didn't think the brakes were that good. I just wonder if your positioning on the road beforehand was maybe not the best, or if you were thinking about what you were going to have for tea instead giving 100% to the road.

Hope you get the bike sorted quickly.

I say it's a straight really it's 30 degree curvey or so, and there were cars parked on both side bumper to bumper and he looked like a parked car.

I've had a successful uncontested claim without making contact. A car pulled out on me and I slammed on the anchors and swerved, which obviously ended with me surfing down tarmac. I did manage to miss the car tho - not entirely sure how.

His insurance paid out for damage to bike and kit, and compensation for a bruised leg, which I really wasn't expecting.

I think it depends on whether you could be reasonably expected to stop under control.
