I was curios if any fellow SV riders could help me out with an issue I've just noticed. I got home today and realized that the bar end weight on the throttle side is gone. It must have fell off while I was riding but I didn't notice. Well no problem, good thing I always keep a spare right?! Wrong
![]() I got the spare out and put it in, but apparently something else inside must have fell out because there is nothing for the screw to screw into anymore. I just got my 650 a month ago, and am not extremely familiar with the little parts so I'm really not sure what I'm missing, how/where to get it, and how to put it in??? If anyone knows I'd appreciate it! Thanks! |

oops, probably easier just to buy a replacement pair (could be wrong but not sure if you can get just one side...unless second hand and lucky) either cheapos off ebay or decent ones. Only ones I've bought for the SV are R&G ones. Think they were off ebay for about £16 came with instructions too I think.

Well, I meant that I do have spare bar ends laying around. But when I went to put them on, the screw to hold it in, wouldn't screw into anything to hold the bar end on. When I looked inside the throttle bar, it was completely empty with nothing in it. So something that's supposed to be inside of the bar handles is missing, but I don't know what it is?

Ahh the only design I have any experience with is the type that have a long bolt running from the bar end to a nut on the other end and in between is a cylinder of rubber. This goes into the handle bar and when tightened it makes the rubber squash (outwards) and grip to the sides of the inner of the handle bars.
