Default The Nomad Returns.

Well, after my Ibiza saga, Lozzo posted an idea about me "going nomad" and visiting various Organs on the bike. Unfortunately, my mother went a bit mad about the idea and it didn't happen. (Thanks again to those who offered to meet me/put me up)

On Thursday afternoon, I had some really bad stuff happen and I text Gruntygiggles and told her. She told me to come down and visit her. Time being approximately 1630 hours. I decided I would bite the bullet. I ran and packed a bag as quick as I could and I text her telling her I was just leaving (think she expected me to either chicken out or tell her I was going to leave in the morning).

I wrote my mum a note with GG and Stretchies contact details and told her I would be home on Monday. I also sent her a text.

I jumped in the car and I made my way on the journey of about 400 miles (I think). Things were going fine, roads pretty clear and I stopped at Charnock Richard services off the M6 and had a bite to eat and a rest. Continued on down the M6 and J15-J18 was closed so there were MAJOR tailbacks. I was pretty much stationary for 2 hours. Eventually I got onto the diversion route and then back onto M6.

I arrived at GG's at 0100 hours and was confronted by the two axe murderers stealing my bag off me and trying to squeeze the life outta me in big bear hugs!

GG and I sat up til about 3am gossiping and eventually decided it was time for bed. I jumped into bed and after reeling about the days events for an hour or so, I managed to drift off to sleep.

GG then woke me with a cuppa tea (BEST tea someone else has ever made me).

I went downstairs in my PJ's and we sat and blethered for ages. Eventually I got dressed and we decided we would go somewhere (she told me but I can't remember where) and get a coffee and a wander. So after a two hour drive in hellish traffic, we parked the car, jumped out and went leave the carpark when GG asked me the time. I told her it was 1655 and she stopped dead in her tracks (I was quite scared and thought that I had said the trigger word and that she was gonna kidnap me and chop me up and feed me to some pigs) and said "OH no, we need to go back, Dan doesn't have keys" so we had a two hour drive for me to see the inside of a multi storey car park!

Later on, she made my dinner, it tasted LOVELY. She really is an amazing cook. It was chicken breast in a sort of garlicky creamy sauce with mashed potatoes and carrots. I ate as much as I could and then we had a couple of beers before her and Dan took me and introduced me to the locals. I went down a storm and they asked me to work the bar! HAHA!

Next day, well, afternoon, they decided to take me to Bath for a wander round the shops and a late lunch at Nando's. I wasn't feeling well after stupidly ridiculously taking my strong painkillers on an empty stomach. As we got into Bath, almost in the car park, I had to jump out of the car and I was sick on the pavement. Cheryl took me into the Hilton and I puked in their toilets whilst she got me a glass of water! (Only time I have ever been in a Hilton, I was throwing up in a toilet).

Anyway, felt much better and we went to Nandos. I didn't eat a huge amount but I loved what I did eat. We then had a wander through the shops and I spent most of the time in stitches and fits of the giggles as we behaved like 5 yr old kids! (Chopsticks, Mini Loaf, Cutlery....etc)

Later on, Squirrel_Hunter came 'round and we had Thai soup...which lead to another incident with chopsticks, although I'm sure you have read all about that! Several times during my attempts to eat the soup, did Cheryl almost get a faceful! I kept getting the giggles when I had a mouthful and I nearly didn't manage to swallow, almost having to spit (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, giggling again, such a child).

Next day, Viper and Lou and the kids came 'round for Sunday Lunch. I spent the time winding the kids up whilst Cheryl and Lou did the lunch and Stretchie, Squirrel_Hunter and Viper fannied about with the Disco (and its swimming pool..they had to clean around the rim..). The kids robbed me of all my worldly possessions. We had our AMAZING Sunday lunch, which again dissolved into childish, immature humour, leaving me struggling to swallow. Then I cuddled in with the kids on the couch and watched a film, Freaky Friday.

Last night, we went to a pub quiz. Again, it dissolved into sillyness and we had a huge amount of fun.

I spent today putting the world to rights with Cheryl and had planned to leave about 2pm...next thing we knew, it was half past four! Mad panic and rush and I set off on my journey home.

I can say, hand on heart, that it was the best weekend I have had in a long time. I loved every minute of it and was sorry to have to go home.

Grunty and Stretchie are officially my favourite people in the whole wide world. They are the best (better than me even, which is tricky) and I cannot wait to see them again. I promise that I will not mortify you in Bath again..)

If Carlsberg made weekends.......

I LOVES YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx

No Gavin, silly! There were no car chases. Anyway, car chases are boring after your first few!

I thought the kids were brilliant! This may have something to do with me having the mental age of a six year old though, possibly! Even if I am skint now...

I hope your not planning on making this tale into a film, me personally would have thrown is some kungfu fighting, gun fight, saving a vietnamese (sp) village full of women and children and a couple of massive explosions in somewhere
