Default k6 clocks question

Hi all new to the forum but I need a bit of help if anyone knows this stuff. I tried a search but had no luck. (I'm probably thick)

Basically I head-butted the side of a car on my SV650K6 naked and did the usual damage to clocks, forks, tank, bars, radiator etc.

My question is to do with the clocks ie will clocks from earlier pointys fit and work correctly? I've been offered the salvage and need to work out if its worth keeping.

I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere about there being differing numbers of connecting wires but don't know if this was curvy to pointy or even if it was for SVs

Also are there any differences in the other parts I've Mentioned?

Thanks

pointy clock units are all the same but vary vastly in price, ive seen them from as little as £25 and as much as £150! on ebay that is, put a post in the sales and wanted section on this site, good luck.

I know when I was looking into the gsxr conversion some of the speedo's needed four magnets and some eight. I'm not too sure if that is to do with a difference in the speedo.

Not much help really!

Thanks very much folks, the garage I got it recovered to says there is frame damage as well so I'll take the money and run. 3 years 0% finance paid off exactly 7 days before the accident and only 6000 on the clocks because of work - I was sorta looking forward to modifying it and using it a lot more!
