Hi all
I just bought a 2000 X Reg SV650S which has been fitted with a carbon look hugger, its a little loose and shows signs of wears against the rear tyre, it moves a little and wondering would this fail the M.O.T. ThankYou Paul |

Quite possibly this would fail, I test cars, so a bit different, but if a road wheel fouls any part of the car, unless it's designed to, it qualifies as a reason for rejection.
Best advice is to secure the hugger. If it has marked the tyre, should be ok as long as the tyres carcass/cords are not exposed where it was rubbing. |

Thanks Speedy
i thought it might, it just feels loose and has rubbed the tyre but no visible damaged to tyre, just worn the edges of the hugger, i tried to undo the little allen bolts securing the hugger but they where solid so i think one of the brackets has broken causing it to be loose |

Yup, fowling will fail. Try cable ties round the mounts
