Default Braided or not braided that is my question?

Hi,

I'm getting a zx636 with braided hoses, i've been told for road use they make the braking too sharp and if I keep them I should change them as I may not know how old they are?

What are your thoughts on this? Shouls I change them for new braided hoses? leave them? or change back to original hoses?

test them, if the braking is sharp be smoother on the brakes, they dont make the braking too sharp the rider makes the braking too sharp.

i would stick with them tbh.

Would recommend on re-newing them? I know they have a shelf life but that could be 10yrs.

No don't bother. They should be fine, you're not going to eat the top yoke or anything I would think

do they need re-newing? test ride it first, life in them is normally 10yrs and the zx636 isnt 10yrs old yet they should be fine.

Tutor at college that used to set up suspenion and run track days, and races a formula renaut car in formula renault (don't know a great deal about racing so not sure if that's come out right) and he's a bike mechanic etc.

He said it's better to have rubber hoses as the braking is more progressive.
