Default Bike Insurance Joy for The D

Renewed my insurance this week.

Was hoping it'd drop with all the talk on the .org of reduced insurance on bikes over 10 years old.

Current year- 1 years no claims= £460.

Quote received from CN to continue was £263.

Called them- had a chat. Removed old claims off my record (apparently doesn't affect premium).

Dropped the valuation of the bike (£2100 to £1800).

Told them about the alarm being removed as it had gone duff.

The nice lady re-quoted for £223.

Bargain. Very happy D.

All that's left is MOT on Monday- fingers crossed, should be fine. Brakes are all done. Need to tune carbs tomorrow. Bike is otherwise serviced and working nicely at the moment. I'm sure there's nowt to worry about- but I always do...!
