Default Need a cheap new battery.

Hi all,

I broke down on Friday and the recovery guy said I needed a new battery.

Does anyone know what model number battery I should get and the cheapest place to get it?

I've got a curvy SV650 (01).

Cheers,

Chris

Make sure you get it checked by someone who knows what they are doing before just buying a new battery. At £50 a shout batteries are expensive if the bike keeps frying them.If you do a search on here for "charging system" you will find loads on finding the route cause of your problem and could save loads of money in the long run.BTW if you PM "Batteryman" on here you will get a good price on a new battery. He works for MDS.

Do you know anyone with an optimate? Worth hooking a battery up to one of them for a day or two before buying a new one.

Good morning all.

The correct battery for a curvy is a; YT12 ABS. A lot of people fit a YTZ 12 as it gives a little more cranking power.
As said, get your charging system checked out, & remember that cheap batteries are usually more trouble than their worth.

Cheers.

Invest in a good battery - yuasa or something.

Buy cheap, buy twice!
