Default Anybody got...

An old bike chain I can have?

Doesn't have to be functional as long as it's in fewer than several pieces...

Beer tokens in return to be redeemed at AR10

Cool. I'll have a gander, think I've got the forked one I took off mine other month kicking about somewhere, no promises though it might be under a load of snow. You care if it's rusty?

Can't see it being a problem so long as it's flexible enough to curve round the tyre

Can you have a looksee and let me know how wide the chain is, the tonka toy knobbles on the TKCs are much bigger than on the bike in the photo so it might just swallow up the width of a bike chain

How wide or how high? If your tread sipes are deeper than chain is high then no point.

Can you not get proper chains for bikes?

Yeah, width/height/whatever, as you say if it doesn't peek over the treads it's not gonna work

You can buy snow chains for bikes but they're ridiculously expensive, €100+ per wheel

Put into perspective I've purchased 16 half decent tip down straps for £20 - add a length of chainlink or a freebie motorcycle chain and it's a fraction of the price...
