Basically parked in a dark car park behind some offices last night, was there about 10 mins, came back and i had been clamped.
£153 release fee. car park is very dark and i had look before i left, there is only one or two signs and they are barely visble especially in the dark. paid, got car back. ill get over it if cant get the money back but its got to be worth a try, spoke to Ed already and he said he is gonna get back to me. While nit picking i noticed that on the SIA website it says that they must give me a valid reciept put there name on it and sign it, this he did not do. just wondering what the best way to go about this is really. Cheers |

Probably but it will be a long process. If you have already paid you may be stuffed.
Pepipoo.com is the place you want to be. |

If you didn't get a receipt you are even more stuffed.
You have to remember that the people who run these firms are only half a point on the 'Ultimate piece of sh!t' list above the mouth-breathing, cerebrally challenged scum they employ to clamp cars. By not giving you a receipt the clamping operative has given you no proof you were ever clamped at all, and can pocket your 153 quid with no-one and nothing to prove otherwise. |

There is only one way to win with these companies, find who the managing director is and post him/her a lunch box full of turds!

Yep but you will have to fight tooth and nail - did they have visible SIA licences when dealing with you, if not, report the company for non compliance (to the SIA, displaying your licence is a legal requirement) and follow it up with letter after letter to your MP and the SIA, bombard with phone calls for a resolution too
![]() Civil servants hate work, dealing with your complaint would be easier than ignoring it! |

they both had SIA licences and one put his number on the bit of paper they stuck to my car, so i looked him up, and i recognised the other one so i know his name as well and i now have his number. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mej; 24-01-10 at 12:38 PM. |
