Default SV replacement

Why isnt there a suitable replacement for the SV? I reckon the manufacturers are really missing a trick here. Its obvious that loads of people like myself want an SV that handles better and has a bit more power but without going to the extremes of a ducati or other exotica! I dont want to go il4 and would even be prepared to pay more - anybody else agree?

Or the Ducati 749 that the OP seems to quick to dismiss, 2nd hand 749S's are not far off new SV money... and I'd know what I'd rather have and it isnt a SV...

Trouble is its a small niche market. I think Suzuki have it right. the SV is good at what it does for the price you pay for it.

Honda SP1/2. It's not exotic because it's a Honda

Id personally love to be able to have one of those... but I cant really warrant it as comfort is a factor for me. Also fuel bills are bad enough without crippling them with a VTR

But each to their own
