haha title of this thread reminded me of a comedian recently saying how odd it was you scots called it a fish supper where the rest of us just call it fish and chips.
And if you just wanted 2 portions of chips would you have to order a "supper supper"? ![]() Sorry for the instant derail....carry on.

I thought a fish supper was two pieces of fish with chips (was always what you got on Western Road)? The idea being you have a fish each and share the chips walking home with your 'burd'. I know I'm not Scottish but I had this was explained to me by a friend from Clydebank and confirmed by several other Scots of my acquaintance.
