Having real trouble finding a replacement streetbike for the sv650n which is making me beg the question is it the prefect road bike??? models ive looked at are
kwak z750 +z1000 <----- z750 build for money is questionable ,z1000 more a sports bike Honda hornet 600/900<---- 600 untested but people say its slow for the specs, 900 heavy + weird handling expensive honda dont like doing deals like 0% Bandit 650/1250 <---- heavy bike has a very low centre of gravity and has been arround since the 80s Sv1k <--- Too heavy and lumpy feels akward (could be the one i tested tho) YZ6 <--- imo prolly closest for flickabilty and similar riding style bit gutless in low revs ER-6 <--- too damn ugly looks like a mutant duck build quailty looks shabby but like gladius gets some good write ups gladius <--- ER-6's ugly sister and is that a steel midpipe ?? but seen good reviews GSX650<---- bandit with fairing steel downpipes :/ come on its 2010 not 1970 build quaily looks very cheap triumph street triple<---- not tested but spoken to owners and mechanics and have questionable realabilty + front head lights look like there made of recycled kids toy plastic any others to think of ? aprilia tuono. heard very good things from owners, plenty of punch, sounds as good as an SV if not better and are pretty reliable

Is there anything wrong with your SV or a particular reason you need to change it?

Could try the 'prilias: Shiver, Dorsoduro, or a Tuono if you want a thou, but I'm biased

I read the other day on one of the threads that there isn't an equivalent to the sv by any other bike manufacturers. Then on mcn I read that the yamaha xj600 diversion would be a vauxhall astra deisel if it was a car. So the question is......what car would the sv650 be the equivilent of?

Only thing I find as much of a giggle as my SV is old GSXRs with flat bars.
