04 K3 Reg plate holder - SV650.org

Hi All,

I'm new to the SV650 and this is my 1st post, I have just recently bought a 2004 SV650 K3 and today noticed the reg plate holder is a metal plate type and is quite corroded hence I decided to remove for painting,

then I thought I wonder if it can be replaced with a stainless steel type that you see on some bikes, had a look on ebay but only found a plastic type which states to fit the K3

Can anyone confirm this, would prefer to swop for plastic if I can

the hamicad is supposed to be stainless steel though

Nope - OEM is a large plastic snow plough. The one you have is a tail-tidy to neaten up the rump of the bike.
