Thats the stuff, I have read a few reviews by normal people who have used it on car's and bikes alike and they all give it massive thumbs up! My bike has been running a little off recently and I got a funny feelinig its down to the fuel system... I've ordered some of this stuff and fingers crossed will get it tomorrow so I might be able to test it over the week end to see if indeed it does improve things for me. will update as I learn. So anyone else used this stuff? |

Waste of money with modern fuel, just like Redex, to be honest

There can be a case for injector cleaner, some designs of injector and engine can give rise to some "plugging" or deposit build up which slightly reduces fuel delivery flow rate for a given pulse width.
This used to be a big issue when switched injectors were introduced back in the late 1970's, and a lot of very reputable manufacturers recommended the use of injector cleaner at regular intervals. Improved designs of injector and improved fuels have greatly reduced the severity of the problem. You won't do any harm by trying it, and it could be that it does indeed give some improvement in running if you do have any deposits built up. The cleaners marketed are not usually particularly sophisticated substances, and a lot of marketing hype is employed. In reality the occasional use of Shell V-power or similar premium fuel will probably have an equal effect with lower net cost.

Best way to clean valves, heads etc. is to spray a fine mist of water down the carbs @ 5000rpm. Couple of squirts from a dettol sprayer or something.
Might be a half decent injector cleaner but the advert smacks of the usual snake-oil pseodoscience crap!

Let us know how it goes Nick. I'm interested to see how you go.
Johnnyrod, if you'd read the site you'd see that its not just like Redex (according to them) Its 24 times stronger (to simplify things) C |

![]() interesting though ![]() i often wonder what mine look like. I've heard that it is good to use full throttle sometimes as this allows the valves to be cleaned, but I'm not sure if thats true |

Is it an octane booster this stuff?
If so useful on turbos and engines that run knock sensors as part of their ECU to a certain degree. |

No not an octane booster.
I have read a lot of reviews by impartial users on forums like this one, and some mags that even said they wouldnt normally even pay attention to these things and said that it worked better than they could possibly imagine. I've not read a bad review anywhere... Im having a few running issues and im sure its either valve clearances or fuel system now, or at least thats what im going to check next heh. Things I suspect could be causing the issue's:- -Fuel line split (in fuel tank -see note below) so fuel not at right Pressure -Blocked fuel filter -Blocked fuel injectors -Valve clearances So I figured 2 of these might be sorted with the stuff... ill be getting the top end serviced after next pay day and will have to have a look in the fuel tank if the problem dont go away after using this. Note: Normally should the fuel move around and should you be able to see small bubbles in the fuel tank? Im wondering if this might be a sign of leaking fuel line, I know they say to change them every 4 years and mine has been in 7 years now. |

Yeah people saying it's amazing and all that but had they tried a normal (cheap!) injector cleaner or a couple tanks of premium fuel first?

Dont really know the answer to that to be fair... But I do know that in Yank land it is part of every service for quite a few major car companies!
