Default That between jobs feeling...

I didn't have to get up early this morning. I'm sitting at home in, erm, comfortable clothing instead of suit and tie. There is no PC sitting in a case beside me here in the study.

OK I'm technically on holiday for the rest of the week before I start a new job on Monday but it felt so wierd handing in my pass, PC, phone and other rubbish yesterday.

Oh well. At least I get the chance to go to the dump with my garden rubbish without queueing for thirty minutes to get in, and if it stops raining/snowing/being flippin' cold I will be able to go out for a nice ride on the bike.

Am I the only one who finds it a wierd limbo-like state?

Relief is not strong enough a word to describe my feelings about leaving that place!

Beer - of course. That's what I've not had enough of. Better head to the offy and stock up for the next few days before sobering up to start the new job on Monday.

It always feels weird when you would normally be at work but you arent, a kind of "something missing" feeling but you cant quite pinpoint what it is.

The only stress I had today was deciding whether to have another cup of tea before or after I went to the vets to get the dog back from her blood tests...

I have this dilema pretty much constantly. I work shifts and, as anybody who knows me will confirm, I get a load of free time.

I know the feeling Trev, but at least you're at home. I start a new job on the 15th of March and I'm working out my notice at the current one until the 12th.

I didn't think it would be this difficult to stay motivated. I keep catching myself thinking, 'You don't need to do this, leave it for the next guy...' Ho, hum...
