How do you guys clean your chain?
I have asked this question on other forum but dint get a definite answer...
I read at another forum that Brake cleaner should not be used to clean chain as it can damage the O-ring. Kerosene is okay. However, I am not able to find kerosene at my local store. CAN I USE DIESEL. any suggestions.. |

kerosine, paraffin that sorta thing - not sure about diesel - should imagine so though.
Have you tried searching the forum? Should come up with some good results.

paraffin is commonly used, i use WD40 tho never done any of my chains any harm in 15 years.

I bought a huge pot of 'Parascene' from Homebase for next to nothing. Its paraffin but renamed cos its used in patio heaters. Does a great job

First I put my bike on an abba stand, then I started the motor and put it in 1st gear and let it idle and held a WD40 filled rag against the chain, and now my friends call me stumpy.

Paddock Stand, old t-shirt parrafin on rag and removes everything. Old muck off bottle full of oil oil up the chain with old engine oil. During this time the keys are in my pocket.

I dont know.I have never cleaned my chain,just put oil on it.
