Default Continental Road Attack 2's

Well I thought I post my own little review of the RA2's. They do grip well from the word go and work well in the dry and wet. Never did I feel they were lacking in grip.

Unfortunately, wear is a major issue with these and for a sports-touring tyre, I was very disappointed. The rear flat spotted very quickly (half of my commute is motorway which equates to about 100 miles of motorway a week) and since they don't have wear indicators in the centre of the tyre, it made measuring the tread depth guess work.

After 3000 miles, I have changed out the rear tyre. I'm about to do a couple thousand mile tour round Scotland next week and I wanted to be certain I had plenty of tread left for it. The RA2 felt very thin in the centre when I had a look at it off the bike, it certainly had no more than a few hundred miles left in it. The front tyre is in far better condition though. Still has its shape with very minimal wear. It's safe to say I won't be running the road attacks again on the rear at the very least.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, they were on a curvy SV.

Did you have Continental Road Attack 1's before?
Ive done 1500 miles on my ones and have worn quite well.
Little bit of tearing on the edges,But not as bad as the Corsa2's(Big Blocks helping??) I had before
But do a mix of ridding

Never tried the road attack 1's. After 1200 miles of scooting around Scotland, even the front has started to flat spot. Not touching RA2's with a barge pole in the future.

Try Pirelli's new Angel GT. I have the older ST's and they're pretty darn good. Pirelli say they GT's are better.
