Hi ya.
My mot is due soon and my brake pads are at about 2-3mm my throttle doesn't snap back and my akrapovic full system has no markings to say not for road use or for road use it also has no no baffle and no hole for a baffle, will any of these be a fail? |

Not sure on the other stuff. But if you have a "bike friendly" MOT tester and your exhaust is not stupidly / excessively loud I'd wager it'll more than likely be OK.

The cables probably do need living but that will be the 3rd time since November, the exhaust isn't massively loud at tick over but at 4k it is a little loud.

2-3mm on the pads and the brakes give a good result on the machine it's OK, your throttle is an instant failure.
I wouldn't expect a tester to pass my bike if it's illegal, if you've got the original exhaust put it back on.

Does the throttle return? If so, it'll probably pass. Exhaust should be fine, as it need a 'not for road use' stamp to fail an MOT. Pads should be fine, but will need sorting sometime soonish anyway I would think.

I'm booked in at holland engineering and have arranged to pop down there to show them the exhaust to see it's ok before the mot if not it's going back to dealer that sold me it as they said they will make sure the exhaust is no problem, but they are 1hr away.
I think I'll get a chain luber and lube the throttle cable. |

Take it in before it's due. Most MOT stations will do a retest free, so they will give you a rectification notice, if it fails. If it passes............................Then, result

As Mister C says, because providing you take the old MOT, they issue a new one from when the old one expires, up to a month in advance. So, effectively, you can get up to a 13 month MOT.
