banjo bolt woes.

Hi guys

I am fitting braided lines to my bike, the goodridge eyelets at the ends are thinner/narrower than the originals so the double banjo bolt does not fasten well, can you use more copper washers to get it sealed and so there is purchase. I bought a shorter bango but the thread is different so it wont work.

I hope this makes sense.

You mean bolt bottoms in threads before it makes seal? How much gap you need to take up?

about 3mm, three additional washers allow it to tighten

Get a shorter banjo bolt with the correct thread pitch. Either 1.0mm or 1.25mm

i wouldnt wanna pack the gap out with more washers, itll prob seal alright but jus means theres more leak paths, would be best to get the right banjo bolt cos brakes are an area i want to make sure theyr right!

I thought Goodridge kits came with the correct banjo bolts included. I have bodged something like this in the past by grinding down the end of the banjo bolt but that's not ideal as the banjo should be paired to the fitting so that the hole in the banjo lines up centre groove in the fitting.

They should come with the correct bits
In the kit I got the main banjo thread had a different pitch. I've put the old one in (the one that was sitting where the brake line splits into 2 - if that makes any sense). Can't remember if I used an extra washer or if it lined up ok. Worked ok.
