Default First ride on a gixxer 750?

Got it insured this morning and although it was raining I couldn't help myself so I took it out for a spin. My god it is mental.

Position is very weird compared to the Sv. It's easy to handle power delivery is weird and is def gonna take a bit of getting used to.

Overtaking is a doddle. Had a bit of a hairy moment, Fishtailed at 70 on a straight.

Too wet today though couldn't see anything out of my visor. Just looking forward to a dry day. Might actually make it to fifth gear then.

Fishtailing is easy to overcome, stop being a hamfisted twonk.

Indeed, a little shimmy is fun when rider induced but not when you could replace the rider's gloves with slices of bread and call them BLTs...

Keep us posted - Im just back to biking after an almost 10 year absence but Im already feeling the limitations of the SV (lolsuspension) and have been eyeing up the gsx750 as a possible upgrade so would be intrigued by your findings.

Didn't give it much maybe half throttle in 3rd, it happens when it was picking up at the middle to top of the revs.

Today is sunny, but still wet at the moment. I fell a much longer ride coming on today.

Which is where its begining to make signifcant amounts of power in comparison to the SV.

Thats where I found mine caught me out a few times. Remember I said before about how much more reponsive the throttle is and that it took time to get used to it. Thats why

If anybody is interested heres the write up I did when I first got my 750. I dont know if its useful or not
