Anti-bike sentiment - but in the motoring section!

People who buy convertibles are much like those who buy motorcycles. Whenever I see a motorcyclist kitted out in thousands of dollars worth of high-tech clothing, boots that buckle and clip almost all the way to the gauntlet gloves, and a Bluetooth microphone protruding from a helmet that cost thousands to protect the brain that was stupid enough to buy a bike in the first place, I only wonder one thing: why didn't you just spend the money on a car?

I liked Lorraine's articles very much up until this completely gratuitous comment. I think she's just frustrated she'll never have the following that Jeremy Clarkson is but is still trying to ape his style.

Different riders ride for different reasons, nothing wrong with protecting ones self. Its only when i see 10 top boxes and side cars i think 'use a a car'

LOL that's cheered me up. She's a bit moody in her pieces sometimes (she refers to her husband as 'The Poor Sod', beginning to understand why) but they always had a wit and charm to them. This comment is out of the blue and completely unnecessary.

Obviously she needs to be sacked and then beheaded for insulting bikers. That's how it works.

well I can already streak my hair on my own with shocking pink dye, I don't like to glow in the dark though with orange!

I just realised why they are all hairdressers, cause their hairs such a mess after they been out in the car, its worse than helmet hair

Meh, some people. I sit and wonder why people are in their cars on a lovely sumemrs day, just sitting in trtaffic going no-where while I toodle past making progress
