Default Bike Insurance Quotes

I have been doing some research for my insurance renewal that is coming up and checked out the usual. Express, Ebike and Carol Nash.
Ebike was out for a start, i always find them about £50 more exspensive than all the others?
Carol Nash was the closest i got quoted from my existing Insurere Express Insurance.
I got a qoute online, and it states that they can beat any previous quote from other insureres.
So when they provided me with the online quote and i called them up and asked them if they could better my existing qoute that included Personal Accident cover.
I was told that due to the fact that i was quoted online they were not able to beat or better the quote from my existing insurere!

How rediculous is that? Whats the point in making a statement if they wont support it?

Needless to say im staying with Express Insurance. They have been brilliant for me ever since i started riding, and they have always been the cheapest too.

Has anyone else experianced this?

I have always found Express a nightmare to get through to on the phone. They also have rediculous charges all over the place.

For me, with insurance, cheapest is not the best by a long way.

I guess it depends what you want from you insurance... cheap... or good service.

I personally like to get through to an helpful, well trained, english speaking human being within a minute. I get that with Carol Nash and I hope they are reasonably competitive on my renewal.

I think I paid £100 more than the cheapest qoute last year. God forbid I ever have to make a claim, but if I do I would rather be with a respected company with good service and pay a little bit more than be with a company that no one has really heard of and have crap service just because they are cheap.

(not that I am saying express are a company no one has heard of)

Yes i know what you mean, the level of service is important. But i guess you never know what service your going to get unless your unfortunate enough to have to make a claim.
I agree with you 100% about the fact that the cheapest is not always the best.
For me at the moment i think its better the devil you know really. I have been with them for 3 years now and never had any problems so far.
I hope that continues lol.

G when Carole nash call you about your renewal let them know you have found insurance £100 cheaper and they will check with there manager, knock the price down and beat anyone else or they did for me.
swinton bikes offered me insurance for £250 so carole nash knocked £100 off my insurance to beat it

c/n more than halfed their origional quote to me, to beat the best price i could get online by 10 quid, and this included breakdown cover and legal cover, which the others did not, was well chuffed.
