Default Cupars Test Rides

Hi
Am booked in to test drive the GSXR 600 at Cupars on Sat 10th. Has anyone has any experience test riding there. How long can you take it out for? Do you pay the petrol etc etc. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Had a look at the forecast and the weathers looking good so far. Hopefully should be there for about 11am. Anyone who fancies a rideout is welcome to come along. PM me if up for a run. I'll be leaving from Glasgow. Not sure which way to head probably A91 route...

I test rode the latest Hayabusa from Cupar. I can't remember them saying how long I could have it for. If it's a serious test ride then tell them and say how long you want it for. I was only going up to St.Andrews and back, so I wasn't away for long. If you're doing the same and there's plenty of gas in it, then I wouldn't put anything in it. If you're away for an hour then I'd put a wee bit of fuel in. Just ask them what the deal is with fuel & time.

If I was free on Saturday I'd probably have tried to get the B-King test bike and join you for a spin, but I'm busy .

Enjoy

got my SV from there. they have a recomended route which is about 30 mins but are pretty good to deal with so don't see a problem being longer if you need it. I knew what i was getting before riding it so their route was fine for me.

i had a test ride on a gsx650f up in cupar last year.
there was no big deal about how long i took it out for. i had it away for about 30-40 min and have to admit i had a bit of fun on it.
they offered me quite a good deal on my bandit but were very restrictive on the colour only offering me the blue and white paint scheme and no other.

in the end i held off from buying from them and looked about for the one i wanted and got it from saltire suzuki in edinburgh.they matched the deal offered and the first service was free.[at cupar it was £40 +the fuel up there and back] the service was first class and if im honest i will probably be buying my next bike from them as i thought their personal touch was 2nd to one.

p.s.remember both parts of your licence as its a bit of a jont for a look around.

Triumph in Renfrew gave the keys and told me to be back before they shut. No petrol charge, both bikes full. I'm working on Saturday otherwise I'd have been up for that, still running the bike in, utter and complete ****e.

Well i test rode both the GSXR 600 and 750 bikes. I did the same route on each bike. Had them out for 40 mins each. Paid no petrol or anything. Walked straight in showed both parts my licence and signed a wee from.

Route I took was right out Cupars onto A91 then right at the roundabout down the A92 then right again along the very nice A913.

First thoughts. They are FAST!!! lol I really like both bikes but deciced on the 750. The suspension is far superior to the SV's its more planted and IMHO the GSXR is easier to handle and ride. Flicking it in to the corners was so much fun and I had total confidence in the bike and what it was doing. Below 6k its dwindling about easily no problem but find a nice bit of tarmac and twist. Past 9k she goes beserk and you surge forward at pace. I must say am totally hooked....

The kind chaps will give me a ring later re trading up.
