Default SV1000s How do you lift the tank?

My sv650 curvey easy
My sv650 pointy easy
My sv1000 pointy ????

Will not lift up? I want to check spark plugs and fit a lighter socket wire on the inside of the frame?

Looks the same as a 650 tank but cant work out how to do it?

1. Put the tools down,
2. Take one step back from the SV

remove plastic infill panels under seat(1 bolt each side) remove seat 1( bolt each side) , remove tank top bolts, prop up and jobs a guden

If it is the same as the 650, as barwell says. I hope you're not trying to rag the tank up with the seat in place!

unless the hinge has rusted solid it should just flip up, but i doubt that i would rust lol,
