Default smoked indicator lenses advice

hey all,

am picking up my bike tomorrow and it needs the amber bulbs and smoked lenses for the indicators,

where do people get these from?

is there anywhere that does a full set for front and rear?

thanks

Changing is fairly simple, although finding nice ones for the front that fills that gap can be problematic. I have mini indies on the rear and standard back on the front. I did try flush mount on the front, but no one could see them and it got scary.

As for where from, your local indepandant motorcycle retailer should have some in stock. If you are hugely desperate and don't mind paying well over the odds, Halfrauds do some, but they are cack and break while fitting in some cases.

Get into E-Bay and search for Sv stuff, there are a load of indies on there you can import from China or you can find some other ones from Taiwan, you may be lucky and find some others closer to home too.

As for wiring them in, it is pretty simple, just make sure you cover any joints well and be careful if you solder them. If you use LED lights, make sure that you solder in the right way round and get the flash rate sorted out, either ballast resistors or a flasher unit.

Hope that helps.

Enjoy your bike.

thanks for that,

i think i would rather stick with original indies for the front, i like them with a tinted cover anyway,

so i will do tints for the front and smaller ones for the rear when i get a tail tidy sorted

thanks

Have a look at mine, see what you think!?

I'll find the link to where I got them and post on here.

I run silver coated bulbs too, so you don't get the orange shine through!

Well, they're "E" marked....so guess so.

Plus, the bulbs I use are quite bright and show orange nicely.

Fab, thanks Speedy, I'm interested in your earlier comment re: bulbs with silver fronts. What's the rational behind using them over the bulbs supplied?
