How do,
Myself and Claire (Purplevamp) are coming down to London for the weekend (saturday to monday) to see England vs Barbarians at Twickenham on sunday ![]() Anyone know any nice places to eat in the area? Chinese, Indian, Italian or a decent steak house would be nice for the evenings. Nothing poncy, just good food with decent service. A good greasy spoon cafe for breakfast would be good too. So droogs, over to you... ![]() |

Can't go wrong with a curry - used to be a tasty but tatty southern Indian place. here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...12,333.42,,0,5 With the Flamin Grill (Top rate takeaway Kebab place) a few doors down. Not worth travelling out of your way to though. There's a load of Posher places in town along the bath road towards Hounslow West & back towards the main town. Richmond is a millionpercent nicer and has eateries everywhere. |

Seriously - other than good curry Hounslow has no redeeming features. Apart from that Kebab place & I've not been back in a year.
Go to Richmond - it's a bus ride & close to Twickenham. |

Unless it's late and you fancy a takeaway Kebab.... in which case don't be tempted unless your passing the Flaming Grill. Don't let the constabulary put you off - they're in there for the grub.

Bell (?) pub on the corner of the town centre/ bath road also does food. Possibly breakfast but don't quote me. Never been in there.
Various cafes etc in the town centre. Probably more scattered around but more leaning towards fried chicken than bacon. Best thing about Hounslow is it's really easy to get out of Hounslow. Last edited by Sosha; 25-05-10 at 02:53 PM. |

![]() Sounds like its just aswell we are only stopping for a couple of nights and not moving there! Cheers for the response. We can get on a bus no problem to find food. We have a busy couple of days planned so we would be out of Hounslow anyway |

Sosha has a very high opinion of Hounslow.I can feel the lurve.
There is the Bath Road though-------Takes you right out of town in a straight line
