Can anybody tell me what the pubs are like and is it crawling distance to the Youth Hostel?

I knew I recognised the name. We do a concert just outside in the Forest every year.
Never stayed in Edwinstowe but there is apparently I lovely pub with proper good ales to be had. Can't remember the name of it though. Nice village though. Don't know where the Youth Hostel is either.
