Default How long does 'crossing a white line' endorsement last for?

Offence code 393 (I've read that these are specific to each police force)..

£60 & 3 points for hopping over solid white line into crawler lane whilst getting on the m62 as there was a slow moving car (45mph) and lorry blocking me from leaving the slip road. Made sure there were no vehicles in the nearside crawler lane then looked in my right hand mirror to see a police car sat behind the lorry. I knew as soon as I saw him that he was gonna pull so I just waited for the blue lights.

Does anyone know how long they last? 7 years of driving and 3 years of riding without any points... botheration.

All advice appreciated as usual... comedy/jokes/pishtaking will be met with horrific abuse.

Thanks in advance

They are "live" for 3 years but remain on your licence and have to be declared to most insurance companies up to 5 years.

he's been a bit of a t*at if he has done you even if hes been stuck in it.

3 years and 5 for insurance.
can have them removed from the licence at 4years

exactly, I'm a big boy and if I had been paying just 5% more attention then I wouldn't have had to find space on the other side of a solid white line... paying too much attention to getting the traffic news on the radio like a nob...

Thanks for the replies guys
