Just wondering if anyone else fancies doing the carlsberg route again before the end of the season? The last one went a bit bolloks with people getting lost and faffing around working out whether to stand around waiting for people or sack them off and head to hawes... Then with the lancashire louts dropping off the route at the end, our TEC followed them 10 miles in the wrong direction which basically caused absolutely everyone, to go everywhere...
If we can arrange something a bit better organised and keep the group together, I'm sure we could have a decent rideout before the end of the season - we'd just need to start organising it around now ![]() ideas/suggestions.. if anyone else wants to lead/tec etc.. then please step forward - I'll be happy picking my way through the group ![]()

sure depending on the day and the numbers
was a bit frustrating last time, just got into a nice run and was back in 2nd and had to stop and wait (at one point for like 20 mins) then back to 2nd for more waiting, would it work to split the grp a bit like a track day, have 1 fast grp with a leader and 1 inter grp with a leader etc etc, so ppl can keep at a pace they are happy with so there is no pressure on anyone to keep up, and we dont lose ppl with the 2nd man drop off system, still have the same overall grp stop off points but i think it would make the day flow better and be easier to keep track of ppl in small grps |

Too much faffing, IMO - if you've having to wait marking junctions and you don't like it, don't ride so quickly

just when you've got a tw:t at the front riding too fast for the sake of it, kind of makes it tricky on the rest of the group me thinks...
still, some cracking roads & if possible it'd be great to stop in helmsley before taking on the b1257 (fwoarrrrrrrrr yum nom bleh)

i did stop at about 4 different junctions and waited for 2nd & 3rd riders to catch up but I prolly need more practice at being a leader - like I say, I just came up with the routes, if anyone else wants to lead then I'm more than happy with that

Just stick to one leader , drop off system and a TEC , if anybody needs to leave before the ride then they need to pipe up before the next section and group together , maybe sit behind the TEC so that the finishing group is together . I am up for a wander over your way mate if you can fix the dates and stuff . I might even offer to do TEC for a change
