Question Lowering and MOT - any problem?

Hi,
I've recently bought my wife an SV. One of the reasons for purchase was the lower ride height. This has been achieved by adding longer link arms and sliding the forklegs up through the yokes. Will this pass an MoT with this set up or will I need to drop the forks back down? I'm guessing that I have to do this so any tips on how to securely raise the front wheel would be appreciated.

It`ll be fine, ride height is not part of the MOT. My bike was lowered when it was new by the previous owner and always passed its Motleys

The lowering is not in itself an MOT concern, however if the bike is lowered to such an extent that under full suspension movement any parts make contact this could be a problem.

Also the replacement suspension member are MOT check items, so the quality of the job comes into play, material, fit, and function.

you will only get a problem on mot.however if the mod allows any part to foul any other it will. ie if you have full and free movement thats ok. no you will not have a problem if full and free movement. atb paul
