MCN are fixated with this too, Ben Spies to Fiat Yamaha with Jorge, Rossi with Nicky ar Ducati and Dovi with Stoner at Honda... I doubt it will happen, why would Stoner want to ride the RCV212? It is the worst bike in the paddock, well, worst fast bike. The suzuki is just a no-hoper

Now if he and Rossi swapped. I.e. Rossi to Ducati and Stoner onto the Yamaha that would be interesting...

I think each bike has been developed for each rider, much like how the Honda has been made for Dani.
If Rossi and Stoner swapped there would be a lull in the racing action as each rider sorted the bike to their personal preferences |

which is what I think the problem at Honda is....
I remember Hayden complaining bitterly about how Honda only listened to Dani and thats why he had such an awful time of it in his title defence year, because if I remember correctly he said. "This is what happens when you give development preference to a rider who has no idea how to develop or setup a bike" I think it was something like that anyway...

i will see it when I sees it.
Stoner leaving Ducati is stoopid. If Rossi does go Ducati I would wager he gets his own team. |

That is kind of what Rossi is saying about Jorge at Yamaha. He has developed the bike and now Jorge wants to develop the bike Rossi has cut off all his information (although, he seemed to do OK in Jerez...)
Ducati are trying to make the bike suit people other then Stoner where as Honda are still going the Dani route, I think that is why they are falling behind |

If Stoner doesn't feel like Ducati are keeping up with Yamaha then why wouldn't he gamble that Honda could (particularly since he'll no doubt be getting a **** load of money for making that move).
We should also remember that nobody would have advised any top rider to go to Ducati if we base our perceptions on the results of his team-mates. Just because the Hondas look "poor" with Dani and Dovi on them, it doesn't mean that Stoner (or for that matter Rossi or Jorge) couldn't do significantly better on one. It will also be seen as a Rossi-esque move. If he goes to "struggling" Honda, and turns them into a championship outfit immediately, then comparisons with Rossi going to Yamaha will be obvious. |

i could see rossi moving to honda more than ducati, i see ducatis as a muscle bike which i dont see rossi doing well on, while honda are more smooth like the yamaha
stoner and rossi at honda is highly unlikely, but jorge and spies at yam is almost a certainty i could see ben spies on a ducati more than any other motogp rider (who arent currently with them) i think he would do very well with them Last edited by davepreston; 15-05-10 at 07:50 PM. |
