I just got a ludicrous qoute from mce (£1200) so am looking for other insurers... i got quotes starting from £400 (eBike insurance) and going up but none of these names ring any bells for me and googling names gets me somethimes very contradicting opinions.
Can you guys please say which ones you use? |

Tesco comparison thing seems to work ok. Try ringing some of smaller brokers too. I am with falcon bikes.

The thing is I do want something relatively cheap but also I need value so I prefare to pay a lil bit more but be actually able to contact the insurer and won't get screwed over when if i ever want to claim

I went on compare the market, put my details in and picked the cheapest which was Swinton. I told them I only cover 4000 miles a year as i mostly ride for fun and only ride to work every now and then.
2001 sv650s, parked on drive and 2yrs no claims £70 TPFT. I declared my WP suspension, fuel exhaust, db screen and indicators. |

What age/ncb Sanza?
I recently just insured my first bike, at 25, with no ncb of course. All my quotes were £280-360, TPFT, business miles with aesthetic mods declared. I went with Motorcycle Direct in the end with Chaucer as the underwriters. I called them 3 times in total and everytime I rang my quote went down by a few quid, lol. |

I found Go Compare the cheapest when I renewed mine on Saturday. 28 yrs old, 6 yrs NCB, £107 fully comp for the SV1000 with £200 excess and protected NCB. Policy is with Dial Direct (part of Bennetts judging by the address). They quoted £59 for TPFT.
Bike Insurer were cheap too, but despite their guarantee not quite as cheap as the above and I didn't bother ringing them for a price match as was happy with my first quote to be honest. |
