Default Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??

Has our society turned on its head that much that Moat is a legend?

The guy mixed in some very dodgy circles, had form, had killed one person and seriously injured another.

I don't wish him dead, and wish he hadn't died - everyone has a mother/brother/sister or whatever but...

Legend my a5re!

WTF sort of society is developing that some #@* like that can be viewed a legend.

Sorry folks, boiling blood syndrome approaching.

I don't know the fact on either arguement but...

Some people feel for him because;

- the police arrested him and jailed him for something he believes he did not do
- the police made him loose his family
- the police made him loose his business
- the police made sure he would not see his kids for a very long time

In the above circumstance, for a normal bloke, it could potentially send you over the edge and do something like he did because what is there to live for.

On the other side of the fence, this bloke was not exactly 'normal'... but what is true and what is not true is all open for debate.

He was a police informer, maybe he knew to much and the police wanted him dead.

It's a very mixed up case.

If he was just a completely normal bloke who had lost everything because of the police and society (like the film falling down) then I could feel some sympathy... but it appeared he led more than just a 'normal' life.

What i do know is that the scummy people in this country are beginning to out weigh the decent people with morals in this country... they are breeding like rats on council estates throughout the UK.

Its good to see the public outrage at the fact he's been spoken as a legend, society has fallen to standards that are beyond belief, and the majority of decent people out there don't have a clue whats going on outside their own front door, and honestly wouldn't want to know.
reading about the plaudits this prat is getting is sickening.

The police didn't make him do anything. He lost his family, business and kids due to being put in prison for something that he did do. In any event upon release he murdered an innocent man, shot the mother of his child and attempted to murder a policeman.

If he felt he was wrongly arrested and convicted, he should have appealed.

That's utter tosh. The police didn't make him do anything. The guy was a murderer. He deserves no place in our's or anybody's society. I'm glad there is one less Moat in our society.

Not saying I'm glad he is dead - but as a result of his death, he is gone, which is excellent news in my eyes.

Also I have noticed you wrote: 'some people feel for him because;' - I am not having ago at you for having this view, as I presume you don't. Unless you also hold this view, then... I am!!

Well exactly... there is no proof, but when has that stopped people believing what they want.

If he did actually do something where he deserved to be in prison, because of course people have never wrongly been imprisoned before even after appeals!

Don't get me wrong I do not support the chap or think he is by any stretch of the imagination a 'legend', I can see it from varying perspectives though.

The guy only became a murderer after loosing everything because he was convicted of something he believes he did not do.

Nope see above post, the less cretins in this country the better in my eyes.

IF however, a completely innocent man had lost EVERYTHING, because of something they did not do, even after appeal... I can see how someone may loose the plot under these circumstances and want revenge.

Film: law abiding citizen

With facebook refusing to remove a murderers facebook fan page, I wonder if they would be the same for a paedophile fan page or a 9/11 fan page?

Whilst mistakes are made in criminal justice, this guy had a criminal record including assulting minors and his partner. I'd bet my life he was 100% guilty.
