Default rideout protocol

Coming home from skegVegas this weekend in the girlfriends micra and their were scores of bike groups bezzing around and looking really good fun. Anyway I want to get involved. So what's the procedure? do I have to join a group or do you just turn up at a meeting point?

Also are there different rideouts for different levels of bikers?

Thanks

Look for something or someone in your area. Make a contact on here or through pm
Turn up and have fun.
Although some large group rides are organised, with corner marking and the like, small groups tend to agree a plan on how it will work beforehand.
I haven't known any rideouts for different levels on this forum; a quick discussion before the start with the leader will let him/her know your skill and experience level. That's not to say there couldn't be different rides for different levels though.
Think you need to look at our annual BIG ride - known as AR10 - there's a separate section for all the details. Although it's huge in terms of numbers, no-one has ever got lost (well not seriously) and all capabilities and levels are well catered for.
Just get out there

Look in your local section in the Regions section and see if any rideouts are posted. Usually Org rideouts allow for all standards of riding with drop off riders to mark junctions and a TEC to stay at the back. This type of ride allows people to travel at their own pace.

It's pretty much like Pete said, although pennine rideouts are pretty thin on the ground due to how thinly spread we are. Still, there are 5 or 6 in South Yorks now, so it might be worth organising one again.
