Regulator / Rectifier within 24 hours!!!

Regulator / Rectifier needed!

Hi,

I am getting desperate, I need to get to a charity kids camp tommorrow afternoon but the regulator on my bike has cracked and is leaking and getting extremely hot, I need to get a new one as soon as possible tommorrow and will travel to pick it up I have hunted high and low for one within reasonable distance to collect tommorrow but have come up trumps, I have looked at alternative regulators that will work but am not technical enough to figure out what will work.

Its a 2001 SV650 any ideas / help would be appreciated I may sit here staring at this thread all night till someone resuces me! I am in Chelmsford Essex.

If all else fails what would happen if I trickle charge my battery overnight and rode 20 miles without the Regulator/Rectifier attached then jump started it to ride home?

V. risky I think that you may have a 20 mile charity bike push in the late afternoon if your not careful.
I have one in the shed, but way to far for you to get it.

what's the charging output at your battery?

Dont know, dont have the tools to check...

It hasnt been charging properly for months I have just been putting it on a trickle charger overnight every 4/5 starts I just couldnt afford to fix it
