hello all i have some heated grips on the bike, they were there when i bought it but i want to take them off as i will not use them and they are too fat for my liking, just wondering the best way to remove them is without cutting them off? i also want to change the bars for renthal street figher bars does anyone know if the cables and wires are long enough to do this?
thanks ollie |

Usually a thin screwdriver under the grips and then a quick squirt of thin lube gets normal grips off , heated grips tend to be glued in place on the throttle tube so they may be a bit if a faff to get off .
Bar-wise , we need to know what bike you have and what model , is it an SV with clip ons ? What rise are you requiring on the Renthals as well ? |

i see the glue didnt know if someone had done it before could suggest a clever trick to get them off, just a long thin wiring flat head it is then.
i got a 54 plate naked 650 pointy one. renthal sell a set of road bars called streetfighter http://www.renthal.com/File/apps1.as...odel=&bikedate= STREET FIGHTER789-02 755

there's two holes comming out of the frame as standard the cables come from the left over to the right hand side to the throttle you need to rout the cables under the tank to come out of the right hand side of the frame
and the grips are called stompgrips |
