Default Oil Top up?

Hi guys, so my SV650 S on an 06 has pretty low oil. Its coming upto 3100 miles. It had its low mile services so must of been serviced at either 1500 or 2500 miles. Is it okay to top the oil up?
It was serviced at the main dealer so would it be safe to presume they used the same oil as stated in the manual?

Yes, you can mix most oils safely for top ups anyway. Use 10w40 semi

Thanks chris, i recently bought a set of paddock stands so an oil change would of been an option to do myself, but i couldnt imagine it needing one. Ill just do the top up me thinks.
Cheers.

You don't need any stands to change oil, just a 14mm ring spanner

It is actually easier on sidestand IMO, tips bike over so you are sure to get all oil out, and tips filler cap up so it is easier to pour in with no spills
