Default Anyone regretted selling something?

Here's my old SV for sale at a stealers:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...10qs?logcode=p

I feel so sorry for it. I know it's only metal but it's my first bike and I feel so rotten having stripped it down. It took me on my first adventures to France on a bike, never let me down, was ridden through snow and ice and now look at her

Am I being over sentimental or did anyone else feel really bad getting rid of their first or last bike

Part Ex'd my sv a couple of months ago after a year and 10k miles together. When i pulled in on her i was in floods of tears, she wasnt metal, she was my baby and came second only to my kids!!
She did however, let me down regularly with her starting issues, but i always forgave her, how could i not?

I do miss her, but when I get on my new bike there's definitely no regrets

My 1st bike, a Honda CB 125 reg. JEC 681N, went everywhere and never let me down. The first summer I had it it went from the Lakes to London, and along the south coast. It did a weekend runs from the Lakes to Middlesbrough and back for over a year, all through the winter. Did almost 20k on it before I swapped it for a Honda CB400-4 that also went everywhere but you always remember your first love.

Do I regret it? No, I'd outgrown it and it was time to move on.

I miss my cbr600rr a bit and also my speed triple, but moved on from both for good reasons so they'll remain good memories

I sold my musicman stingray bass a couple of years ago and as soon as the guy picked it up i was gripping onto it, £800 was not enough for the memories we shared.
sentimental rubbish I know.

Ooooooo welllll thats why I have three bikes, couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't, didn't sell any of them!

Suzy too many sentimental moments between the two owners memories with her, and she was my first big bike, and shes had too much money and time thrown at her.

Dave, well I tried selling, and Peg thought he was way too good for someone to ruin, so uses him for work instead of the ZZR1400. I just couldn't do it to the bike that has been to France and been a trusted reliable steed when Suzy just refused to behave.

And Its taken me long enough to finally get my hands on one o them Italian rarities I've been drooling over, I haven't ridden it more than a half mile, so I suppose that'll be staying too!

I don't get sentimental about anything material unless it has been passed through the family or was a present from one of my kids.

I'll quite happily sell any bike I own tomorrow if the money was right, and I'd never regret it

Sometimes I miss my old Eunos Roadster (a grey import MX-5), as it was definitely the best car I've owned. The Vox AC30 guitar amp I had was pretty cool too.

Damn my 'sensible' moments!
