Front sprocket is starting to get a bit hooked, worth changing for the small amount extra it costs over a new chain.

run em like everyone else until theres no more adjustment left on the chain then replace the lot together - a kit is cheaper than buying bits separately!

Change them, don't take chances.

That hooked front sprocket won't help the chain's life, so may as well save yourself the hassle of putting it back together only to be stripping it all down again in the near future, and replace them now while it's all apart.

It's false economy to replace just the chain or just the sprockets, do the whole lot in one go.

I'm with Lozzo may aswel do a job that may need to be done soon.
Having the bike in bits should make it easier

I reckon if the chain is ok, replacing the front alone will prolong the life of the rest.

Front sprocket is fastest wearing bit, if you use a scottoiler.

Hmmm..........tricky.

In sentiment then Lozzo and the Squid are indubitably correct. However the rear sprocket looks pretty decent in the pic, and the chain is at least gooey rather than red rust, and if it's still decent and funds are not overflowing then YC has the vote from me, a new front sprocket will set you back, what, a tenner, and for that you'll probably extend the remaining life of the chain significantly I'd wager. It's your call, but just a new front isn't the wrong thing to do IMO if the chain condition justifies it.

If you can lift the chain off the rear sprocket enough to slip a bacon buttie through then renew the set.

K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.
