That's what normally happens, I tell people to budget for new indicators when the bulb goes, and that I might get lucky - it's about 50/50 so far. Most of the mini indicators I have seen are *expletive deleted*. I can, just, believe that there are reasonable quality ones out there, but I haven't seen many yet.

Put the OE back on it is cheaper----the minis tend to be problematic

yeah mine are a pain to get out, firstly because of the shape, and then due to the fact the bulb is normally corroded into the socket

hmm one of my indicators wasnt working just before my MOT (turned out to be connection come loose), but i decided to change the bulb, and it turned out surprisingly easy to changed, just pushed it in slightly with a finger and used another finger to turn it round, but it's now 2/5 years since i got the mini indi's and no problems yet

I couldn't physically get a finger in (ooeer!) I had to use long nose pliers. Maybe that was where I was going wrong!
Oh that and ham fistedness!
