I notice nobody mentions using a reg/rec from a ZX6R for the upgrade on a curvy.
Does anybody know any reason why you can't, as I'm lead to believe they are fitted with mosfets from 2007 onwards. |

There is an extra wire on some Kawasaki rectifiers - see this very good article about R/R options:
http://www.triumphrat.net/speed-trip...upgrade-2.html Note: that link picks the article up at page 2 (which covers the Kwak option) but the whole article is worth a read. |

Cheers for that.
Excellent link thanks. Think I might try one as the're alot cheaper than a CBR600 one and there seems more of them around ( on ebay anyway ). |

I didn't want to be the first to try one and find I'd melted the loom and batteries, plus I've never done one before so I thought I'd play it safe and get a part known to work. Would be interesting to know how they perform though. ![]() |

Only advantage to doing this is they are better built and won't fail (as quickly) as the SV's standard one. |
