HG Nagano Gore-Tex Suit - Any good?

Just seen a two piece HG Nagano Suit for £350, it is goretex too.

Does anyone have one? Is it any good?

My frank thomas waterproofs have given up the ghost water wise.

You could try to re waterproof them.

I have Fabsil recommended to me on Pistonheads.

They have been good, but the seems are starting to come apart. I have used Nikwax stuff for washing and re-proofing, think it was actually the dirt holding them together.

Fair enough.

Just picked one of these suits up from the Hanger Lane branch and first impressions are that it's a brilliant suit for the money. I rode home in pi$$ing rain and didn't get wet at all. The jacket also fits really well and is nice and snug.

For the money I doubt you'd get a better goretex suit; hopefully it'll perform well in the winter! It's nice being fully waterproof for the first time

I picked up an HG Cruise GTX suit in the end-of-line sale a couple of years back and it's a fantastic bit of kit.

Gore have stringent quality standards so anything with Goretex is going to be pretty good - the same doesn't necessarily apply to cheaper stuff like Sheltex - the membrane itself might work but the rest of the kit might not be up to the job.

But generally HG + Goretex = top quality kit. For 350 quid it's a bargain.

That got ditched straight away for a forcefield one. How they can call that bit of foam armour is beyond me
