Default Honda VFR1200

R1 was in for a service and I got a loan bike. New Honda VFR1200. An object lesson in how to totally disguise 170bhp. Booooooor-riiiiiing.

Saw one in the flesh on the road for the first time today. Looked pretty weird actually.

18.5L fuel tank is a bit of a joke, you're going to be refuelling every 120mls or so, not exactly "touring" metal.

You need at least a 22L tank with a lump like that

I prefer the look of the VFR800... And, I've gotten over 220 miles out of a tank before thanks to V-Tech. And it pulls like nothing I've ever ridden before! (An SV650, and 125 Shadow)

Really? Didn't know that. Doh!

It's like Suzuki putting a 17l tank on the SV1000.

Dumb. Really dumb.

Weird not having a gear lever, I wouldn't like the whole changing gear on the handlebars, would take some getting used to! But i suppose if your purely touring then may make sense...

Depends, they do two models VFR1200 with manual transmission and VFR1200 Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), a lot of positive reviews from customers at work, but its a tad expensive at 13 odd grand 1k more than the standard version
