Yesterday I was heading toward Runcorn after leaving the M6

On the opposite side of the carriageway was a convoy of 3 Police bikes, looked like they'ed just taken the slip road for the Manchester turn

If it wasn't you perhaps it was some new trainee's

Nope, not me.

Not been out on the job bike for a while, but am doing a football match, MCFC I think, on Monday.

It won't have been trainees, there aren't any courses running in GMP at the moment. The driving school is being practically shut down in the cuts.
